Discover what local birds live in Englewood Forest from Cooper's hawks to White breasted nuthatches to Brown creepers from the Salem Audubon Society. Build a nest box to take home for a $5 material donation.

1:00 pm HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR YOUNG & MATURE TREES

Arborist Brian French will lead you through basics of tree care and pruning. Question and answer session will follow. Participants will be given a handout and link to a PowerPoint presentation.

Asst. Professor of Pollination at Oregon State University's Andony  Melathopoulos will share how to protect our pollinators.


Always wanted to try composting, but not sure how to get started? Alan Pennington of Marion County Environmental Services will share different composting systems and how to troubleshoot your existing compost bin. Turn your scraps into a great resource for your garden.

Pond Envy will review basics of creating a pond, selecting fish, water plants and filtration. Then visit the Pond Envy booth to see plants and fish for sale.
